The "GAPA Card", that every guest in our town is provided with by the host, offers a great variety of services and activities free of charge or attractive reductions with all partners. Most popular is the free use of all local city busses in town - as often as you need or want during your visit.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen is the most visited tourist destination for winter sports in the German Alps, as well as one of the top tourist villages in Bavaria. This former olympic town also offers a big diversity of natural beauty and (summer) sporting or recreational opportunities.
Located inbetween of some other Top Destinations like Munich (1h to drive), Innsbruck (50minutes), Salzburg (2h driving) or the Neuschwanstein Castle (90 minutes), many tourists use Garmisch-Partenkirchen as a basecamp for bigger excursions and recreating between the trips.

Ga-Pa offers many destinations for biking expeditions - if Hausberg, Wank, or Kramer...our "smaller" mountains do offer biking routes for everyone.

Hiking is a very popular passion of more and more people. The GaPa Land is full of awesome trails and amazing hikes with beautiful lakes and hikes.
